Join award winning audio drama and audiobook producer / director Sue Zizza and Master Engineer David Shinn as they help you bring audio drama and scripted podcasts to life in the studio. This session will be broken into two primary areas: Getting Cast in an Audio Drama and Audio Drama Performance (For Actors and Directors) and is for those who want to further build their audio performance skills for longer form productions like audio drama podcasts, audiobooks, and ongoing audio series. We'll begin by reviewing what producers are looking for in multi-voice casts, as well as where to find work, and what to expect to be paid. Then we'll explore the performance skills you'll need to be able to create characters for today's audio drama productions which are recorded either in-person or remotely. Remote vs In-Studio recording technology will also be briefly reviewed. Participants will be given scripts to 'work on' during the session to 'audition' for roles within the class. All participants will get an additional 30 minute individual Zoom Coaching session as a follow-up to this X-session.
