* Are you non-union? Why?
* Why did you choose fi-core?
* How is your day to day non-union vo career a better business model than what SAG-AFTRA provides?
* What incentives could SAG-AFTRA offer to win you over?
* What have been your challenges when reaching out (calling or e-mailing) SAG-AFTRA directly?
* What are your challenges when seeking vo contract info on the SAG-AFTRA website?
* Are you a happy working union voice actor? Please share what the union has successfully provided for you.
Bob really wants to hear from you, in a safe, respectful, non-judgmental environment. Let’s be honest, SAG-AFTRA wants you. SAG-AFTRA wants you to want SAG-AFTRA. To make this happen takes communication and education with everyone. You all need to educate SAG-AFTRA. SAG-AFTRA needs to be educated as to why and how the non-union and fi-core vo community operate. The union needs to hear from you ideas and strategies to make working union as fast and easy as it is to work non-union. And, SAG-AFTRA needs to better educate everyone on the benefits of working union, especially with the very real threat of A.I in the non-union voiceover landscape. This panel discussion is for everyone attending VO Atlanta, from actors to agents to casting directors.
It is common knowledge that voiceover is 80% non-union. Bob Bergen’s passion and mission is to stop and reverse this erosion, bringing more vo work and more vo actors back to the union, with real tangible incentives. May this panel be the first step to a better future for all.
