This interactive session is for voice actors—especially busy parents—who want to build a VO career without waiting for everything to be perfect. I'll share my journey from stay-at-home parent to signing with Stewart Talent, covering five game-changing lessons: choosing persistence over perfection, learning by doing, finding your support system, saying yes to yourself, and embracing your struggles. We'll mix storytelling with hands-on activities so you can actually use what you learn. Participants will be able to: 1.) Recall a time when they accomplished something imperfectly and were more successful than they expected (this illustrates "persistence, not perfection" and "trial and error") 2.) Discuss and/or define workflows they've applied or can apply in their own lives or VO businesses (this illustrates "systems matter") 3.) Identify ways to build and utilize a village and/or delegate tasks so that they can pursue their dreams (this illustrates "say 'yes' to you") 4.) Create a back-up plan for the tough times (this illustrates "imperfectly perfect")
