Wanting to feel more at ease in the booth? Come and play with us! Linda Korn, Penguin Random House Audio Senior Executive Producer and veteran director, and Jorjeana Marie, award-winning narrator, improv coach and author, will lead a collaborative roundtable workshop designed to build confidence, flexibility, and creative trust. Participants will explore how different interpretations of the same text can be successful when the choices are clear, intentional and creative. During the workshop, your previously submitted audition* will be played for the group, after which a supportive, producer-led conversation will highlight what works, what stands out, and how confident choices translate into castable, compelling reads.

Next, a lively unprepared read-in-the-round, where narrators build on one another’s tone and rhythm before adding their own perspective. Feedback and debrief will follow. This playful exercise sharpens listening skills, adaptability, and creative confidence toward making bold choices with more ease. 

Ease on Down the Read offers a welcoming space to experiment, take creative risks, and leave with greater trust in your instincts, your choices, and your voice. Expect Aha moments and lots of fun.

*IMPORTANT PARTICIPATION NOTE

All participants must submit an audition of the same short text provided by the session leaders and upload it to the designated google drive before the session. These recordings will be played for the full group as part of the roundtable experience. If you don’t have a recording studio available, feel free to record on your phone or tablet.
