Eric Goins (@the_eric_goins) is a dedicated father, husband, improviser, and actor based in Atlanta, GA. He is also a passionate advocate for actors’ rights and the future of the industry. As the President of the SAG-AFTRA Atlanta Local, Eric leads efforts to support and protect performers in one of the fastest-growing entertainment hubs in the country.



His commitment to labor advocacy extends to the national level, where he served on both the 2022 Commercial Negotiating Committee and the 2023 TV/Theatrical/Streaming Negotiating Committee, playing a role in securing better contracts and working conditions for actors across the industry.



In addition to his union work, Eric is the owner of Compass Actor Services (@compassactorservices), an audition taping service that also provides professional coaching and classes for actors in Atlanta.



After spending years in the corporate world, Eric transitioned into acting through improvisation, which became the foundation of his performance career. With over two decades of experience, he has performed and taught extensively, developing a deep understanding of character, storytelling, and on-camera presence.

On-screen, Eric has built an impressive career in both television and film. His TV credits include The Originals, Army Wives, Meet the Browns, One Tree Hill, Drop Dead Diva, Insatiable, Black Lightning, and his role as Larry in AMC’s Halt & Catch Fire. He is also known for portraying The Gambler/Steven Sharpe in DC’s Stargirl on The CW.

His film appearances include Ride Along, Ride Along 2, The Watch, The Family That Preys, The Accountant, Dirty Grandpa, and Boss Level.
