Imari is a California native, born in Los Angeles. He graduated from LACHSA (Los Angeles High School For The Arts) in 1996 with a specialty in visual arts. Soon after graduating, he immersed himself in studying acting for film and theater. As luck would have it, his acting training would be put to good use, when he was asked to lend his voice as an understudy to a commercial his company he worked for was editing. Over time, he recorded voice over as an understudy for various other projects and in 2007, booked his first commercial project for the Sony Cybershot camera. In 2011 he booked his first animation project as a character named Boulder for a kids show called Transformers Rescue Bots. A few years later in 2014 he became the voice for the new Acura rebrand and stayed on as the principal voice actor for 2 years. Since then, Imari has gone on to voice commercials for several house-hold name companies and global brands including GE, Burger King, Pizza Hut, AT&T, Applebee’s, Maxwell House, Bridgestone Tires, and Planet Fitness. Promo is another area he regularly works in, with clients such as Fox/Fox Sports, NBC, CBS, TNT, A&E, and Pac-12 Networks. But his ultimate love is creating voices for animation and video games. You can currently hear him on projects such as Sword Art Online: Alicization, World Of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, Pluto, Starfield, Demon Slayer, Primal, Zootopia + and Halo Infinite to name a few.
