Originally from Sri-Lanka & born with spina-bifida, Dinesh “Dee “ Alvis was able to overcome many obstacles to be a successful independent adult.
His family immigrated to Washington DC so that Dee could get better medical care and his family could be free of the violent civil war that raged in their homeland during the 1980s.
Dee graduated from Towson University, worked in major market radio as a personality & producer for most of his adult life. he even spent years as a copywriter, musician, insurance and financial agent, singer, marketing & sales manager, and live music venue booking agent.
After relocating to Tampa with his family in 2017, Dee soon launched Tattoo VO LLC: his voice acting and audio production company. His work can be heard in over 60 countries. some of his notable credits are:
brand voice for Dewalt tools, promo voice for the Baltimore Ravens,
promo voice for MAVTV, characters in numerous video games including
Elder Scrolls and Zenless Zone Zero.
He has also voiced in animated series such as Hero Inside and is the narrator for the multi-award winning sports documentary series, The Rivalries. Dee’s motto is “keep shining” because he believes all of us have a light inside to share with the world. He believes a positive mental attitude has been key to his survival and success as an actor and hopes to continue inspiring others.
