Denise Patierno is the Senior Resource Manager for CNN’s award-winning Creative Marketing department. Denise is responsible for licensing all music, photography and video that appears in promotion across CNN’s Worldwide suite of networks. Denise manages the auditioning and booking of voiceover talent that is heard on promos for CNN’s brands, which include CNN Films, CNN & HLN Original Series, CNN’s Domestic and International programs, and CNN MAX.

Denise has contributed to the promotional success of key network series including Anthony Bourdain: PartsUnknown, United Shades of America, This is Life with Lisa Ling, and Race for the White House. She is a two-time Emmy winner in the category of Outstanding Promotional Announcement for The Seventies Campaign in 2016, and the Alicia Keys “Good Job” - Coronavirus Global Town Hall promo in 2021.

As a member of CNN Creative Marketing, Denise has produced award-winning image promos. The CNN “Diversity” image won a PromaxBDA award and the follow-up “Diversity 2” promo was Emmy Nominated for Outstanding Promotional Announcement. Denise and her colleagues have been named the PromaxBDA Marketing Team of the Year for five consecutive years.

Prior to her current role, Denise was a producer with Turner International Ad Sales where she created sponsored vignettes, advertorials and billboards. Denise is a graduate of Georgia State University and holds a B.A. in Film/Video Production and a minor in Criminal Justice. As a Georgia native without a Southern accent, she treasures spending time with her family and teaching her children the value of a good (and often under-appreciated) pun.
