Scott Parkin is a master of “Improvisation for Voice Acting “. Yes, it’s important to be able to improvise in voice over but it’s an even a more valuable tool for building believable characters, connecting with copy and delivering an authentic performance. Scott has been improvising in VO, on TV and on stage & film for 35 years. He’s performed voiceover in over 1,000 radio commercial and appeared on camera in 100’s and 100’s of TV commercials, some TV shows, a couple of movies and he’s taught his approach to character driven improv to hundreds of veteran voice actors as well as beginners. He’s also written ad copy for multiple large agencies for years and written for Network Television shows. Scott's teaching style for kids & adults is a fast paced & entertaining program designed to demystify improv and sharpen skills you already have as well as help talent acquire new skills that will help them compete for and book more work. As a working Voice Over Actor for over 35 years and a Voice Over teacher all over the world for 15 years and has compiled formidable client list and curriculum. Scott creates a safe, inviting space to stretch out and gain confidence in your abilities and yourself. Scott’s philosophy is “If it’s not fun…why bother”? This year at VO Atlanta this class will definitely spend time on scripted material that lends itself to improvisation, so students learn how, when & how much to improvise. Students get to stretch out and challenge themselves to create amazing, believable and real characters. You will leave Scott’s class smiling and confident in your new skills that will help you compete for more work. Scott is a born teacher and loves the thrill of watching students at all levels thrive!
